So much talk... so little done!

Im a big FF fan. I have always loved to play all FF game. I enjoy to play FF XIV and like all other fans i have big hope and dreams that this game one day will be so much better then it is today.
Every day i read on this forum about all changes thats gonna take place in this game. Everyday i read about all good and new stuff they gonna add to this game.
Everyday there are ppl that whish many things in this game and devs that says "we will concider it".
But in the end we get.....nothing.
Every month we get a small patch, then there is nothing, nothing and then we get another even smaller patch.
In this tempo i think it will take a year or 2 before this game will be any better.
Meantime i see less and less ppl play this game. Now im all alone in my ls. Sometimes i dont see a single player in 1h or so when i doing leves.
This game is dying and that hurts my heart.
I love FF and i dont want this game to die.
Something must happen and that very soon or we will lose this game.
Plz try to speed up tempo and give us some content.

June 2012 is what I said back in November. They're just going to have to pretend like the game was never released until then. Revising systems and then adding content afterwards takes a long time.

June 2012 seems a bit of a far off estimate to me. I figured it would be roughly a year from the time that the new dev. team took over (ie. Dec 2011 - Jan 2012).

Thats the thing, they have so much work to do, you can't expect that everything is going to be fixed in 2-3 patches, everything requires copious amounts of work in order to bring to us content. They have to go through so many stages of development just to bring us 1 nice polished feature, and your expecting miracles? They are going as fast as they can, hell they are even working when half their country is destroyed and poisoned water and your still asking for more? It "hurts my heart" to see people so selfish, that they ask for more when people are already giving 100%.

Calm down OP, it takes time to develop, especially for an MMO and especially for one with the high quality visuals of FFXIV. I remember seeing a feature on GoW3 that said it took them weeks to create what used to take 5 days on the PS2. Now expand that to the huge amount of content you need for an MMO, and you can imagine the time it takes. Balancing considerations are also important, since just rushing something out without balancing it means a lot more time spent afterwards re-balancing it, and an angry user base for releasing unpolished content.

Be patient, enjoy the fact that you're not actually paying a monthly fee while you wait, and enjoy it when it comes out. I realize the team's under a lot of stress and doing the best they can, so I'm not directing any of my frustrations at them . There's plenty of that to go around on some of the ridiculous demands some of the players make on this forum =P.
