No EA for V1.0's?

I'm proud to pre-order the game and pay again. The devs deserve support after working so hard to turn a failed game into something awesome. I'd have even got another collector's edition (that artbook looks AMAZING) but I was running short on money.

chances are if your not legacy you didnt even finish the first month.
theres some non-legacys that came late and stayed but it was tolate for them.

legacys gave SE the benefit of the doubt.

when others jumped on the hate bandwagons.

I'm 1.0. I paid for the game three years ago, played it and had to stop because... well, we know why. My point is do we 1.0 people deserve EA? No. And here's why... if you are coming into 2.0 new, you (at bare minimum) spent $39.99 for the PS3 version and $29.99 for the PC version. Pre-ordering got you EA. It's an incentive to, let's face it, give SE some extra money. Personally, I can't stand EA because EVERYBODY tries for it, it creates congestion and redemption issues, etc. and login issues. But if you paid for it, then you get it. But to get it, you had to buy the game. 1.0 players, on the other hand, can't start until Tuesday, which probably bites to some, but... all we have to do is log in. We get the game for free because technically, we already bought it three years ago. And we also get two weeks of free play. Sure, it doesn't sound nearly as cool as, say, early access, but really, we kind sorta played this game three years before anyone else and we got to keep our levels, gil and the items that carried over, plus anything we did during Beta P4 is being carried over to release on top of the progress we already had stored AND if we decide to upgrade to CE status, it's $20 instead of the $50-$80 everyone else has to pay, so if you think about it, new 2.0 players getting early access is kind of a nice gesture because the reality is that compared to what we got (and let's not forget Legacy benefits), they got a friendly punch in the face

They should have never given it to Legacy either and kept it simply for pre-ordering. It's unfair to add things to Legacy after it's no longer obtainable; people made their decisions then based on the benefits they told everyone about at that time.

Not that three days is a big deal either way, but still.

Maybe I'm reading this wrong.. but legacy players aren't legacy because of they offered exclusive gifts from being a legacy player. Most of us was eligible before they even announced the whole thing. It was more of a thank you to the people who still supported the game through the bad times, not an incentive to get people back.

If you live in germany, you can buy a stand-alone preorder code in some shops for 5€.
Only the code, with no game.

i'm a 1.0 non legacy, preordered the non CE. i played for maybe 2 months and i just couldn't do it anymore. it was boring. i'd like to get the EA but meh oh well, it sucks but that's just how it is. i'll deal with it and just have to wait till release day, just sucks cause i was hoping to play on my days off whereas now it'll be during the middle of my work week ><

(btw no i don't feel entitled to anything just cause i bought the game originally, i chose not to pay a monthly fee for a half assed game. my decision, not SE's. doesn't mean that i still don't wish i could play though lol.)

Yes, he wasn't demanding it. However... like many other topics, it has been beaten to death repeatedly. Outside of that, someone else replied and started up with his reasonings to have it, so others responded with the opposition.

Lastly, the line "If you don't have anything nice to say..." would restrict people. Mainly because what one person considers nice or not, is not the same for everyone. So one person could simply say it's not nice, you shouldn't have said that. Even if the person had no hostile intent whatsoever.

Sorry Ispano, my comment wasn't directed at you, more toward the community as a whole.

When I say "If you can't say something nice. . ." Yes, someone could easily take offense to some of the stuff that's read but my aim was all the vitriolic postings that are written up in these forums, and not limited to this thread alone.

There's a difference between saying "No, I don't believe someone should have this because. . ." and "OMG you entitled n00b u shud just buy the gaem! lol"

If people spent less time being snarky and more time helping eachother out, we'd get a lot further. In another thread earlier today, it took nearly 2 pages for the OP to get the answer he was looking for, the first posts revolved around "OMG ur lazy" "Why don't you learn to read?" etc. It would have taken less time for them to type the answer to his question than it would have for them to think of something venomous to say and then write that.

This is what I'm getting at when I wish the community would think a little before they post. I wish people would just answer the OP's question or give a non-vitriolic and well thought out answer to things instead of spewing hate. It makes us look bad as a whole when people resort to that kind of thing.

Well ideally with the post limit people will be less likely to waste posts being snarky. However, people will be less likely to give answers to what they perceive to be stupid questions.
