Cool, good to hear. Thanks for the input everyone.

I joined my friends from Wow on a legacy server and these are my observations so far :
Lots and lots of people running around on Gobbies (sp) or other mounts but I'll be able to get mounts soon too. Mounts make a difference in fate grinding - if people can get to FATES quicker, they end quicker.
The Market Boards looked rather stupid. I prefer to have as little reliance as necessary on others but the few items I looked at were insanely priced (ie 10,000 gil + for lvl 10ish items). That may have just been a function of it being Beta and not many people using the boards but there it is.
For content, I am looking forward to doing endgame stuff and having not to find a group from scratch will be helpful in that regard imo. ie it would take 8 people longer to get to 50 than it would the group of us where some are ahead.
So pros and cons really...
I'm not legacy or anything but I'm sure you guys will be fine.
A lot of people who did cap levels are going to run Arcanist anyways.
If you wanna start with a brand new fresh community you can try other servers but nothing wrong
with Legacy too. They will most likely help you out more.
I heard that legacy players actually have a third nipple and curdle milk whenever they pass by.
I don't think it matters in the long run seeing as in a few weeks (last i heard anyway) once the game is live the characters can transfer from legacy servers anyway. Personally the legacy server my husband and myself is on is fantastic. Haven't had a problem yet and the player base seemed really helpful if someone yelled out a question. I can't say anything on the market side of things I didn't really bother looking. ^^; I do know some of the legacy servers during the last beta had a cap put on them as far as allowing new players to join.
I am on Tonberry JP server and it worked better the NA one I tried, no lag in BETA 4 when I played.
But I am a bit concerned, should I start over and go to a LEGACY server or risk being on Tonberry??
BTW as mentioned earlier we can move to another sever but I realty don't want to pay a fee to transfer.

money wise i think its all the same on legacy or non legacy servers, hell legacy server prices might even be cheaper at start because there will be lots of legacy members with already lots of items and gears already set and made. Inflation shouldnt be bad since there will be a bit of competition for selling same stuff so prices should drop more than new servers.
