Unable to update patch files.

Hello,
I'm getting this message when I attempt to load the launcher:

Unable to update patch files.
[11005][20815][20866][19900][32]

I recently played during P4 Beta so my client was current before today, I'm running on Windows 8 and the client is set on XP Service pack 3 in compatibility mode (I tried changing it to Windows 7 already as some have had luck with, didn't do anything).

Really hoping I don't have to uninstall but regardless I'd appreciate a response no matter what the fix is. Let me know if you need any more information. Thanks!

You did try without setting Compatibility mode?
And run as administrator?
Could you also check the folder where it's installed and check that it's not marked as read only?

1. Right click your FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn folder
2. Click properties and untick Read only.
3. Click apply and then OK.
