The only thing that should be hidden are random effects that do not always make sense but are awesome when they happen.

For instance if theres a "Blood Sword" it should have a random chance to drain health from who ever it hits, but it doesn't need to tell the player that.
some hidden latent effects would be cool, there should be more gear/weapons with status effects
even cursed gear would be cool
