Show your Roe!!

I never posted in that thread before but I regularly comes here to check on other Roes.

I absolutely love my Roe. I turned my character female when I changed server this year but I could never play anything else. I almost never see other Roes in game (ok in game as in "in actual content", not just in cities), and I always find it funny how I tower above the other characters in a party =D.

There was also this one time I had another Roe in a party and the player was so surprised like "OMG ANOTHER FEMROE !".

Also, I don't post to show my roe because I make screenshots of everything in game (like 3 thousands screenshots) but they're usually screenshots, I'm not good with /gpose and I barely glamour anything, so I dare not show my girl too much.../blush.


My Roe back in 2015 when it was still a he. Ivory dye was cheap and I like the style, I kept most stuff dyed like that since.


My Roe since I moved to Omega. I just love the face. The haircut, eyes, lips, I find Roes so much prettier than the other races =D...

Only thing I regret about my character is the breasts. Way too big, they didn't look like that during creation, I only realized wearing certain outfits...

I'm not surprised at all that those two are ahead, but it's really crazy when you think that the Au Ra thread has been around for about half as long as others, making it nearly two years younger.I have noticed though that it seems the less popular races, Roe, Lala, and Elezen seem to be very proud of their characters and enjoy showing them off. They also tend to band together and support each other. I would say close to half the posts in this thread aren't just screenshots, but are people commenting on or complimenting others' posts. I don't have time to shuffle through them all, but it sort of makes me wonder if the other threads have a similar ratio.

In game, well on Louisoix server anyways, seems to be a hell of a lot more Au Ra than Miq'ote nowadays :/ I loved playing as Au Ra, but went back to lala on my older character... might change her to Roe at some point, probably copy my alt's looks Tried to persuade my brother to go Roe now he's come back to the game... but he went Au Ra

What I find odd though is that I've had more attention when playing Roe, than on my Au Ra and lala Been worshipped and puckered up too a few times lol and people just stop and stare :O

And yeah they have very pretty faces. Although I only like mine with the current haircut. It was the same with the male version, there was only the one haircut I selected when I created the character, that I loved. to me it just "fits", you know ? I don't know if it's just me or if others have the same "this is mah haircut and imma keep mah haircut" view of their characters.

Also I really need some brighter screenshots. Need to learn how to /gpose properly.

(I just love the cutscenes screenshots so much because of all the angles and expressions we get there...)

Gpose tricks(for PC, not sure about PS4): Posing:
Characters will perform the last input animation they did, be it an emote or a job ability.
In the emotes tab, you can go to expressions and pick one of the facial expressions from the list. Your character will perform whatever emote you set, but with the facial expression of your choosing.
Press 1 to pause animations of all characters(party members, friends, FC members)
Select a character by clicking on them and press 2 to resume that single character's animations.
Press Space bar to change the character's facing(usually it just winds up being the direction their face is pointing)

Lighting:
X sets light source 1. You can go into the options menu(Num Pad *) to set the other two. The light source will be set wherever your camera is.
Set the light to a colour that makes sense for your surroundings(ie: white/or +1 blue for night. +1 red for sunny day. or try and match the colour of ambient lights from local light sources)
There are three different light strength options, but a lot of the time I just choose option 3 and set the light farther away from my subject.
Try and mix and match lights to both give ample lighting to your character, but also leave enough dramatic shading so as to not seem like they're standing in front of a spotlight.(Try a brighter light source from one direction and then a softer light source from the other, so there is noticeable shading, but not a stark black/white, unless that's what you want)

They do have very pretty faces, (lol I'm always changing my hairstyle) one of my fav npcs was a Roe

Yeah I had searched on reddit to find that there actually was a menu in /gpose and messed around a bit but I'm just not good with it...

Also I just discovered the prepare for combat emote in ACN and I love it.
