There are a lot of pre-order issue threads going around, but I would like to keep this one very specific. This is to find out if we are truly going to be able to play early access on PC (from 1.0 without legacy) when pre-ordering on the PS3. There have been other threads and even references to devs commenting that say if the accounts are linked, they both get EA (this was from a while back I believe).
My PS3 is currently in the shop which makes it all that much harder to test this. My PS3 account lists the early access, but I can not find a way to link my PS3 account to my square enix account (without using the PS3). This
page also gives an option to link them (which I did), but seems more social media or novelty geared?
Question 1: Could I use a friends PS3 and log in with my PSN creds to setup the account link without messing anything up?
Question 2: Has anyone confirmed that ps3 EA will give the PC early access, you would think it is account specific rather than platform specific. I know a lot of people would have just made that assumption (like me). A lot of non-legacy people want early access and decided to buy a copy of ps3 rather than a second copy of pc (my ps3 just happens to be bricked right now).
Question 3: What was the process of linking the accounts on the PSN. When you launched the game from the PS3, did you just log in with your enix account and it asked you to link them?
Immoral Question 4: Should I just buy a ps3 from gamestop and return it for cash back in 7 days, what affect would that have when I try to re-download it on my fixed ps3 in 1-2 weeks?
