首先，让我介绍一下，FF14的历史是由第一Astral纪元（The First Astral Era）开始的，漂泊无居住的部族们来到Erozea，the Twelve（注：the Twelve在1.0的时候经常提到，理解为12神，即Halone, Menphina, Thaliak, Nymeia, Llymlaen, Oschon, Byregot, Rhalgr, Azeyma, Nald'thal, Nophica, Althyk。）欢迎他们的到来。而随后，他们（注：外来部族）发动了战争，the Twelve离开了Eorzea。现在，我们以此为据，由此得到了这个重复的模式：第一星芒->第一暗影->第二星芒->第二暗影->第三星芒->第三暗影->第四星芒->第四暗影->第五星芒->第五暗影->第六星芒->第六暗影。

The Twelve的时代就是传说里the Twelve在Eorzea所居住的时代。据说当时在Eorzea大陆上居住的都是神。当然，可能就是指the Twelve他们本身，也可能是指the Twelve跟Primals（注：蛮神）或者其他神奇的生物，又或许只是指拥有魔法的种族。这些我们尚不清楚。
至于说那些四处漂泊的部族开始出现在Eorzea，只能是这三个种族：Elezen（精灵）、Lalafell（拉拉菲尔）和 Roegadyn（鲁嘉丁）。Miqo’te（米库特）和Hyur（修兰）来到Erozea的具体时间已给出。这（注：the Twelve）也可能是指原先的一个古老种族演变成了这三个种族之一，或者只是（几个）种族最后灭绝了。

5 years ago, as we haven't been told a year has passed in-game. 1572 was the year in 1.0 when you arrived to one of the City States (the storyline up til the Path of the Twelve being an Echo).

Thanks, that's what I expected. I just wasn't sure, since I never played 1.0

I wonder what the actual elapsed Eorzean time is between updates? If we went on 90 RL days, 1.5 hrs=1 eorzaen day. 15 days=1 RL day. 1350 days, seems a bit too much. So pretty safe to asume thats not the case.

3 months passes between? Sounds more palatable than over 4 Eorzean years. Closest frame of reference to how much time passes in Eorzea is the development of Revs toll. So, it couldbe pretty safe to say 1 year has passed in Eorzea (imo). From launch to the present day, also taking into account festivels.
