You will need to redeem the EA code through the PSN and then confirm it by logging in through the XIV:ARR software on the XMB in order to play on the PS3 during EA. You won't need to redownload a 6 GB file. Other than that, congratulations and welcome to the PS3 sector.

The Client fo Beta Test Phase 4 is the same as Early Acess and Launch. No Physical Disc is required for PS3 player's that were in Open Beta phase 4. I registered my Early Access code for PS3 to get the in-game bonus items: Mog Cap, Cait Sith(minion)
