Mysterious Woman

So far I've enjoyed everything I've seen so far of the main story, except one minor detail that was introduced along with the voice acting in phase 4:

A certain character--let's refer to her as M.--was always something of a mystery to me. There was always a question about who and what she really was. (Unless there was something in the endgame I missed out on.)

Anywho, come phase 4 and voice acting, she sort of interrupts her own dialogue to explain, in no uncertain terms and in simple words that even you can understand (something about her tone put me off I guess?) that "Yes! I too have the Echo!"

Was I the only person that nearly fell of out of their chair? It's a little thing and I still love everything about the game, but maybe this one scene could be cleaned up a little or something.

There is a forum called lore.

Minnie, being the acting andecedant of the path of the Twelve, was known to possess the echo, but not the strain of it that allowed communication with the beast tribes. Although she did have greater control over her skill than most.

I would argue that it is the echo that has allowed her to remember you.

I think it was just the way she said it more than anything that put me off. I don't mind them explaining it if they feel like they have to. That reminds me though, she doesn't remember me at all--I'm getting the new character story line and not the legacy one.
