It just takes me back. I remember when 1.0 came out and it was all so new and there was this exploring and confusion, but it was an enjoyable confusion. I really hope that when 3.0 comes I can have that whole 'newbie' experience again because I quite like that phase of gaming.

I know exactly what you mean. Even with the release of ARR, everything felt like is was completely new. Like it was an entirely different game. At that time, the major cities where basically the only things that remained “the same” in ARR, but all of the area’s outside of the towns were completely different.

At that time, the little kid in my pops out and want to go explore. I want to see what’s around the corner <over there>. But, that’s the same with all of the Main Story Quests and dungeons/raids they introduce with each patch. I want to know what happens next! \(>_< )/ /bounce /bounce

So, i’m certain that the little kid will again pop out when we get to explore the new area’s, follow the new Main Story and dive into the new dungeons & raids. hehe.

I felt the exact same way, and now I'm happy that we get to explore more open-world areas outside of the ones we had for years.

I know the feeling.
In 1.0 it was a mix of exciting ("finally my first ff online"), wonder (for the graphic), confusion (I never understood the storyline due the echo ^^'/ "ok... now what I have to do? where is tutorial and quest marks?") and worry (the first time i left Ul'dah, still level 1, I thought the mouse in Central Thanalan can easily kill me so I was afraid to attack them)
In 2.0 I don't feel in the same way because I played it since the alpha, spoiling the feeling.
I hope the "newbie feeling" will return in 3.0 even if it will be less powerful because our characters are already grown.
