Some people say you need to act in a drama or lose/gain a lot of weight to win. At least more Dramas than Comedies get nominated and win in the end.Starting to doubt he will for quite some time. Some people just seem to never(or rarely) win one. When was the last time Meryl Streep had a bad performance? Yet she's won, what, 2 or 3 Oscars against TONS of nominations? I've never quite figured out how they REALLY pick the winners. There's something going on there!
THE ENTIRE THING IS RIGGED, RIGGED I TELL YA!
Did you see them taking that selfie? Thought that was hilarious!

I can see the massive gain/loss being a big swing in someones favour, as that involves an actor putting themselves at serious risk for the sake of their craft(Christian Bale for The Machinist, for example. It may not show quickly, but that does heavy damage to your body). On Drama vs Comedy, I've always heard "Comedy looks easier". I guess I can see that, I mean, it feels easy to make your friends and family laugh. Still, both require solid acting, and solid writing, to bring it all together. A drama shouldn't be weighted over a comedy, especially when the two really work hand-in-hand.
Then again, the best movie I've seen in recent memory is The Lego Movie, so maybe I'm just weird. Still do need to go out and see The Wind Rises before it's out of theaters.
"Life is about love, last minutes and lost evenings, About fire in our bellies and furtive little feelings, And the aching amplitudes that set our needles all a-flickering, And help us with remembering that the only thing that's left to do is live. After all the loving and the losing, the heroes and the pioneers, The only thing that's left to do is get another round in at the bar." - I Knew Prufrock Before He Got Famous
Anyone else see American Hustle? I enjoyed it, and the acting was great, but I thought the movie was just a little over hyped.

Not yet, but maybe soon ^^
So many people were annoyed of Gravity winning so many prizes. I for myself just found it boring and hoped for diversity.
Dallas Buyers Club seems to be good, not sure if I'll watch it though. At the moment I'd like to see Monuments Men. Later this year I'll definitely go watch X-Men! So excited \o/

Gravity woulda been much better if a zombied Dennis Hopper stole a NASA Rocket and launched it at Sandra Bullock. Then Keanu Reeves would climb aboard the rocket and has to stop it while having to listen to "Pop Quiz hotshot!" every 5 seconds. They could call it "Speed 3: OMG Outer Space!" Instant Oscar right there. Not yet, but maybe soon ^^

I saw it in theaters, and honestly, the more I look back on it the less I like it. It wasn't so much a bad movie as one that didn't even resemble the movie advertised (the ads I saw made it out to be more comedy ala the Ocean's trilogy), and I felt that none of the characters were that likable. If anyting, they all just seemed pathetic to me, and that's not really something I want to spend money to see, frankly. Beyond that, it was just bland. I mean, this is all the opinion of a guy who saw it two and a half months ago, but I left the theater pretty disappointed.

Behold! My new Balmung alt! Brazen Diamond is her name and monking is her game!
My main issue was that the story just dragged for a large portion of the movie. I spent at least half the time wondering where they were going with everything.I saw it in theaters, and honestly, the more I look back on it the less I like it. Monk was a good choice, Nahaara. She looks like she could choke out Titan. :P
