    I can only asume that some tomes are for cracked materia and redemable for darklight and the other tomes are for the people who cant beat a dungeon and will be able to trade for a lesser verson of darklight.
    The other tomestones are for the Relic armor... which are much better than Darklight. They likely come from Labyrinth of Bahamut and Crystal Tower.

    Where exactly do you trade it in? the salvage NPC didn't have this option when i checked.
    Pretty sure he's referring to single melds, from reading his earlier posts.
