Thank you dude xD i have been looking for this. does any one if you can make a macro like i WOW with alt and ctrl ? for when you press 1 it cast cure on your self and if you press alt and 1 down it class on a tank?
Don't have macros for specific roles but its easy enough to hit f1-4 then your cure button. f1-8 if you're in a full party. f9 is the default to target your pet for your pet.
The macros I use on ACN/SCH/SMN are:
/ac swiftcast <me>
/wait 1
/ac "summon #" <me>
/hotbar change #
The hotbar change is for summon micro so I don't have Selene or Eos doing stuff when they aren't in the right position and such. Having them decide to use the Skill Speed or Regen buffs right after I summon them isn't the best.
And both have a
/hotbar change #
that switches to a hotbar with with DD spells and they have one in the same slot that switches back.
You just can't use pet commands while casting. You can do say Bio -> Embrace no problem because Bio is instant cast. As for manually casting them, you just have to hit it once and then you can do w/e don't have to wait for anything, just can't issue another pet command that would cancel the first one.Correct me if I'm wrong, but the GCD timer coming from your own spells seems to put your pet's skills on cooldown as well. This means that only you or your pet can perform skills as soon as the GCD is refreshed. Manually casting your pet's skills doesn't seem worthwhile because it forces one of you to do nothing for a short time.

I set my pet hotbar to alt+1 - alt+= keybinds. DoTs and heals in my main hot-bar, abilities which I don't use as frequently (summons, protect, sustain) in the ctrl+ one. I also noticed that it seemed as though cycling through all my DoTs on all the monsters in a group yielded greater DPS than landing them on only one and spamming Ruin until it died. As a result I didn't use Ruin as much as other ACNs I observed.

i will definately go both SMN and SCH and will seperate my bars accordingly... SMN will have all DoT based spells plus ruin while SCH will have all healing spells... im a caster only player so i have WHM and BLM maxed (currently) and geared so i can always switch up if necessary
I as well am interested in any Pet Macro's and how exactly they work. anyone have idea's???
pretty close, just use <pet> instead of pet name
Thanks!!!! is there going to be an easy macro to have the pet target adds?

Question about the pet command Obey. Does it cause carbuncle to only use auto-attack? Or will it still use the basic single target ability (Gust for emerald carby, and Gouge for topaz carby).
So far this is what I was able to set
/ac "Summon" <me>
/chotbar change 2 -Change to chotbar set 2-
/chotbar remove 2 RAL R2 + □ = RAL(RA1)
/chotbar remove 2 RAU R2 + △ = RAU(RA2)
/chotbar remove 2 RAR R2 + 〇 = RAR(RA3)
/chotbar remove 2 RAD R2 + X = RAD(RA4)
-Erases Set 2 so I can replace the skills from the summon-
/wait 0.5 (You know... just in case)
*None of the macros below work, set subcommand macros for pet are broke ATM*
/chotbar set "Shining Emerald" 2 RAL
/chotbar set "Downburst" 2 RAU
/chotbar set "Gust" 2 RAR
/chotbar set "Backdraft" 2 RAD
-These are the skills I want to set to my crosshotbar for any designated pet, the point is not having to switch between 5 different bars for each summon skill, it's just not effective-
I haven't found any macro commands on the internet nor have I recieved a response from SE to confirm if pet macros are available since the (PET) tab is different from (SKILLS) tab and maybe that's why we're having this problem.
