We don't know for sure. Normally you would be, but Yoshi mentioned a grace period on the last live letter. So they may give you a short time, maybe a day or something.

unless SE states otherwise, I would assume until you get your product code you will not be able to play. I know during some other MMO launches they extended EA for people so they could get their codes on time. Most retail sites guarantee to receive you package by the release date, but I know Amazon does not guarantee it.

I think if it becomes a problem for a large amount of people they might give you some slack. I can imagine some very angry people if this happens.
