1.0 account not Valid for 2.0

I bought FF14 on 6/25/2013 (have receipt) registered and played for a couple of months. I participated in the beta 3-4 with my legacy character and a new character made on the NA servers. My Square-Enix account shows I have no games registered and when I try to register with the link the launcher gives me, it says that serial has already been registered. At a loss for what I can do to fix this, I'm trying to avoid buying the game again.

That you can post here show that you have an account already. And i think your date is wrong (6/25/2013 was 1.0 already since months down)

Your right, I meant 6/25/2012... but since this morning there have been a lot of posts that clear up the subject. Since I am not legacy, I won't be getting early access unless I preorder ARR.

I have the same issue. The game only shows up on the secure.square-enix.com site, however on na.square-enix.com it does not. Also the new client says: No valid or active service account is available to play FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn.

Yet when looking at the account I originally registered 1.0 with it clearly says I have an active service account (and a legacy character in beta)...am I missing something? Do we have to buy the game again if we don't qualify for legacy? My understanding is legacy gave you bonuses like EA, but you didn't need legacy to play your 1.0 account in 2.0.
