    [dev1037] More bigger animations?

    I really hope that not everything is made bigger. say fire shows the same as fire II... what's the point? I think actions and things should GRADUALLY get bigger not "poof there you go everything is bigger" Smaller enemies make sense for lower Ranks. the smaller the weaker the bigger the stronger.

    So for effects I hope they make it rank specific to how big they are. a R10 Gladiator is going to do less damage with their basic attack than say a R37 Gladiator.

    lets be realistic and not just make everything everywhere bigger! Moderation is the key.

    (and can we work on making monsters of certain rank smaller again? really it's too much.

    Im sure they arent just making all magic effects the same size. As far as monsters of a certain rank being smaller, thats still in, just they made things like marmots and beetles about the same size as normal rabbit and beetle monsters in XI (or any FF game).

    I see where you are coming from with the magic attack sizes, but I think they'll adjust them by power, where Fire II or III would be bigger compared to I.

    Actually, what would be nice is if SE would also make separate casting animations for astral vs umbral magic (similar to white vs black magic casting animations).

    I like the enhancement of the battle effects. I hope the [visual] enhancement will also include vivid additional animations for particular battle effects. Example: BATTLE REGIMENS!!!!!!! Please make these combos (or some of the combos) visually distinctive--instead of just pink limbs, weapons, and monsters.

    I think there needs to be a HUGE [SIZE="5"]CONGRATULATIONS![/SIZE] or something when you complete a guildleve or quest, not the little blue quest complete window.

    Also, the rank up and level up could stand to be a bit bigger, and float above the players name instead of in the middle of them. Spell effects do a good job of blocking it out.

    :/ you mean the animation (im talking about the animation of fire on the mob, not the players animation) for fire and fire II for example is the same animation? Which animation are you talking about?

    As for mob sizes, I like the bigger ones better. It brings out the detail on them nicely. But some mobs like the rat seem to be to big for their size...or what they are. But is not a biggie for me.

    I hope they allow us to toggle other peoples casting/action lighting effects like you could in FFXI and/or change them so they're actually nice to look at, as it is now my screen is glaring white/rainbow 80% of each fight. It makes it so there's really nothing to see but simple lighting effects. Also it would be nice if SE changed the target icons. As they are now (an airbrush lighting effect) they're hard to distinguish from casting/action lighting effects.

    I hope the higher tier spells are really bombastic looking, that's what I think of when I think FF games, big flashy spells. I think for the casters, some extra player animations (that is, the mocap, not the particles in this case) would be nice for the higher tier spells. I.e. For current spells you just wave your stick, but maybe for the next tier you could use a fireball motion or something more dramatic looking.
