[Request] Road Map for FFXIV

XI and XIV team are basically the same, but the difference is XI has the breathing room to do this, XIV needs a lot of reanalysis and redesigning.

They'll likely give us one when the time is right.

I forgot what Fanfest it was (The one that happened a few weeks before ToAU came out) and they had a road map back then and didn't come anywhere close to the content they promised on that map. If the current XI team can keep up with it good for them.

Yep, it was the ToAU fanfest as I remember the epic "wtf" when Necromancer ended up as PUP.

Which I didn't mind since I liked PUP, outside of skilling up 3 different combat sets on it. But yeah I remember them saying Chocobo Breeding would happen about 6 months after the release or so and it took them roughly 1-1.5 years.

Rather than a roadmap, they just need to post the company info or just more tidbits about the patch- stuff that will surely be ready by then.

It's been a long time since we got anything substantial due to the earthquake, so obviously people are going to be a bit impatient.

Exactly, from how everything sounds Yoshida has the groundwork set for companies and has the first step for the battle adjustments nearly done and the silence is killing all of us.

I definately understand that they do not want to show off something or promise something they are then unable to keep.

I just feel that many players have been waiting anxiously and patiently for a long while now. Yes they are redoing basics and it takes up a lot of time. There is just so much potential to the game and I can't help but feel a bit desperate for any little tidbit of info that shows there is actually more being worked on than just a battle-system revamp. (and jobs and companies) ^^

Also the testing server FFXI will be getting is actually kinda cool. I do hope FFXIV gets this. The sad thing is we did test the game(Beta) and it never changed one bit. I do hope they use the test severs for their actual purpose.

Yeah I have to admit that the silence is slowly getting to me and I am trying to be as patient as I am able to. But as I mentioned in another thread, the problem is that while redoing the basics of the game is essential for future updates, it is taking up an enormous amount of development time, so those of us who are already impatient are now forced to wait longer for new content, as all the old stuff is being redone first and the real meaty content is not even being mentioned. Please Yoshi, don't let us off into the weekend with no tidbit of news. @.@
