Used steam to create my account

No, its not physically on my steam. When i created my account, through the offical Final Fantasy XIV page. It like, you can create an account using, bla bla, Facebook, Steam or Square enix NA. And im like well i wanna use steam cuz i got an account already

Honestly your original post made next to no sense and I'm not really sure what you actually did.

If you can actually log into the launcher and get to the grayed out Play button you should be good to go.

Yeah, its confusing as fuck. But idk how to explain it any better. Lets try one last time. When i first pre-orded the game. I was prompted to create my account,( for the game to go onto ). There was several options to make my account, One of those being "Use steam to create your account". So i selected that, Pre-orded my game, its now registered on that account. I also created a "Square Enix" account, and linked the two accounts together.
Plus, how i can't register my key because i'm getting the wrong region error like manyyyy other people. currently sitting in the chat queue!
