Yeah, I know they have their priorities, but it seems like waiting until after all the battle changes are done would take a long time. I might be wrong since I don't know what the inner workings of the programming team are like, but adding 2 simple text commands and testing them for bugs should only take, what, a day? Two days?
From a simple cost/benefit analysis, and assuming it would only take a couple days to implement, the benefits to the players would be a lot compared to the time spent.
I support text commands, why there is no LSMES i will never know, how hard is that to implement?

At the very least, do you think we could just get the ability to remove offline people from the LS? This alone is the single biggest problem with the current system, and if just this one function was added to the game, it would serve as an adequate placation for the time being while the dev team works on the battle system. The development team is aware of your concerns but due to the fact that their current priority is the battle system, changes can’t be made right away, but they are thinking about doing this after. In order to implement these features, they would like to first implement text commands before this.
Please continue to send in your ideas for the dev. team!

I agree! Also, I have to 2 social linkshells. It's a real pain to get up while I am crafting to switch over to other linkshell just to say hello to another linkshell mate. If SE dev's make it better someway to change linkpearls or ability to communicate with other LS while I am on another one. Example : [LS1(BLAH BLAH)] /ls2 Hello! Boo..boo...I could not really find a Dev tag that fit perfectly with this however Dev 1024 Crowd control seems to work well.
To Dev 1024 PLEASE for the love of god Give us the ability to remove, add, promote, and demote people to or in our linkshells without having to stand next to them. This ability should be available whether the member is online of offline. Many of us run linkshells to which multiple people have become inactive due to leaving the game, possibly joining other linkshells, or they are just plain lazy and do not do events with a linkshell. This is a basic feature that should have been implemented when the game was designed before alpha stage. We are 6 months after release of the game and with the dwindling populations on servers, many of us are possibly on our 2nd or 3rd LS reform because we cannot do the simplest of things like remove someone from a Linkshell, when they are offline.
On to my 2nd topic regarding this, Linkshell messages, FFXI had a really nice feature for LS sacks and Members, a Linkshell topic, please bring this back so we may properly schedule events. I cannot say how many times I have heard members and sacks complaining that said feature is not in the game. This should be very easy to add and once again another feature that should have been in the game pre alpha phase of testing, not sure why it is not in game.
Please add these features into the system either in 1.17 or in 1.18 or many of us would not care if it was added in a small mini patch at the end of the month. The community has been begging for these features I think it is about time they are added in as your customer base is demanding it.
^^
Yes i had totally forgotten about talking in multiple linkshells at a given time, I was more concerned with the administration side not the user functionalityI agree! There is no point on focusing on Text commands when there is no functionality for the commands to call.
100% agreed to OP.
All I needed to know, I can now torch my pickett signs and back down from the protest podium. The development team is aware of your concerns but due to the fact that their current priority is the battle system, changes can’t be made right away, but they are thinking about doing this after. Heres a list of ideas I thought was either needed or would just be very helpful.
•Linkshell message.
•Leader controls to Demote/Promote/Remove linkshell members remotely. (INCLUDES offline members)
•A way to show/hide offline members or change it so members can be sorted by online status..
•Being able to select a color pallette to change LS emblems to desired color combo.
•The ability to invite members of the LS to a group without having to use to the group search funtion OR social list.
•The ability to pass leadership to another player in the linkshell.
•The ability to see what Location/Rank/Class my members are.
OPTIONAL:
•An option to show last login time/date of members.
•The ability to talk to multiple LSs with out having to change my current one. (maybe by doing /l#?)
•Ability to leave an oflline message or note.
