And I could probably make a guild like system in a very short time with any current *DK that exceeds in what SE have or even plan to do. Its not a 3d physics engine when making crud lists...
But could you make one that fits within the limitations of PS3's memory while the rest of the game is running, one that works in 4 languages, that plugs into the auto-translate feature, that won't crash ever, but if it did, wouldn't take down the whole client or the whole server? Oh, and the linkshell needs to be extremely efficient at referencing a database filled with millions of characters in order to send all chat messages to all connected linkshell members server-wide because even the slightest delay could result in someone not getting an important message during an LS event in time. Oh, and you have to deal with unresponsive clients that are lagging so make sure your messaging can handle that. Make sure to make a graphically sound user-interface for administrative tasks that's easy to understand and works well with a mouse, keyboard, and/or controller. Oh, and it has to plug into an as-of-yet non-existent player search function so you can run some administrative tasks through it as well.

And oh, by the way, this thing has to manage hundreds of linkshells across every server, so make sure there aren't any bugs in it whatsoever? Because, that would be catastrophic and unacceptable to the players. I mean, like, how hard could it be, amiright?

Do you understand there's more involved here than writing a simple program that organizes a list?
