This is a general discussion thread, and it happens to be a topic that a lot of people are passionate about; whether we have been told "what was up" is irrelevant and calling people pathetic doesn't help. If you really feel that way, why even make a post on this thread? o.O

And that is exactly the state of play for a lot of Linkshells at the moment... when the servers were shut down after the earthquake, a lot of people did not come back. Doesn't mean that they may not return a few more months down the line, but there is no certainty at this point (unless new content draws everyone back, which of course it may well do). Why do you assume that people do not wait a reasonable amount of time before making this type of decision?

Yes, LS leaders could make a temporary "trial" LS for new members but, why should they have to? That is what is up for discussion: why can they not have the functionality to recruit all of their members in one place and if they become inactive for several months remove them from the listing?
Also by having a temporary LS not only would you have to catch the player in game somewhere to give them a LS pearl once, but then after a month or two find them again to give them another pearl to the main LS.... Players should not have to do twice the legwork. Yes it is a workaround, but players in these threads are (in my opinion quite rightly) voicing their opinions as to the functionality that they think LS administrators should have.

If SE decide not to give Administrators a way of getting rid of inactive members from the list, fine. But, they should know through discussions like this that it is a heavily desired function along with a lot of "basic" others.
