    I agree with the OP.

Part of the reason there aren't as many replies in here as we would like is that there are a few other threads previously started that also cover the same topic.

Here is my reply in one of those previous threads (and that was 8 pages long with 78 posts):

For those that don't want to check the link, here it is below

    1) This is an obvious one. Resolve the glitch that frequently (I'd estimate 50% of the time) causes the game to crash when the linkshell member list is opened. This should have been addressed long ago, there's really no excuse.

    2) For the love of god, allow pearlsack holders and linkshell leaders to boot members from the linkshell without them being online. This is a very large inconvenience when you have inactive members and the only way to free up space in the linkshell is to break the shell and remake it entirely.

    3) Make the linkshell member list more detailed. As in FFXI, display each member's current location, rank, physical level, etc. in addition to whether or not they are online.

    4) /lsmes. We need it. Enough said.

    Possibly more to come.
The above is definitely something that SE need to prioritise. Linkshell are commonly used now, and I don't know a single LS leader/sackholder of a LS that hasn't complained about at least one of these issues.

For myself, the main points are:

    1. Removing/promoting/demoting members regardless of location in game, or whether online/offline. I still think you ought to be physically there to Add someone to the LS for the first time (it's a nice symbolic gesture).

    2. /lsmes is important. And this time can you please be allowed to type message of a decent length?

    3. Regarding further detail in the LS member list, I would recommend the detail shown in Lord of the Rings Online (LOTRO): Member Name, Class, Rank/Level, Location, Online/Offline, Date/Time Last Online. The last one can help LS Leaders/Officers decide whether someone needs to be dropped from a LS for non-attendance or not.

SE, please make LS tweaking a priority. Surely it can't be that hard?!
Someone told me that somewhere the Dev's had apparently made a comment on this situation, saying that improving LS admin capabilities (and thus crowd control) was apparently not a priority at the moment. Considering how many threads have been created about this (at least in the English section where I can read them) and the numbers of replies in each, it should be obvious that this is something WE (the playerbase) are asking to make more of a priority. Please do not ignore us.

I would happily wait that little bit longer for the planned changes to the job/armory/battle systems to see this area fixed because this is a fundamental area that needs bringing up to scratch, whereas the other planned changes are going to be significant overhauls (and I have the feeling that once started, it'll take a while to get right, which means I can't see much else being fixed/improved at the same time).

Yoshi-P and the Dev's - Please fix this!

Didn't the last Letter from the Producer explain that there were different teams working on different things?

Each team focuses on certain game content or a particular system, and all teams’ tasks are ongoing simultaneously. There are VFX, animation, and cutscenes as well, so quite a few teams. Within each, there are staff members whose job it is to carry out the tasks of each patch, and others who focus on the large-scale elements and core of the game.
I know that linkshells aren't related to battles but it is frustrating to see that it doesn't have a dev tag.

The following threads express the want and need for the expanding of linkshell capabilities:
There is clearly a want for the recognition of this issue.

The reason, I'm assuming, this was thrown into [Dev 1024] is specifically because putting it under a battle related issue would make it more visible. [Linkshell Options] really needs it's own dev tag by this point at the very least. It's bad when it's gotten to the point where the player populace is petitioning for a problem to just get a dev tag recognition and not necessarily a fix to the problem. Considering Yoshida's words on how the teams are separated, "Battle system priority" doesn't seem like a legitimate reason anymore as there should be two different teams working on linkshell issues(the UI team) and the battle system (the battle system team).

It's nice to know that this is for sure on the devs' radar, .....but then again, so is a stupid jump option. :P

I'm sigining this because Linkshell Admin controls are probably the ONLY unanimously agreed upon on-the-devs'-radar feature.

Here's hoping for it to come sooner than later!

Being that the community is the only reason people are still playing this game the tools involving it should be high up on the priority list. It's a major pain in the ass to break an LS to get rid of inactive members and remake it and re-invite 80+ people.

    !
Which is one of the reasons we don't need to have a 20+ thread about it, there is nothing to debate EVERYONE agrees that we need these options there is NO reason not to have them.

It's crazy to me that these changes haven't been done yet. It seems like there is just a restriction in place to disallow booting users that are not right next to you. It seems to me like all that would need to happen is that some code be removed.

This is the low hanging fruit SE, fixing this will remove so many headaches that we LS leaders deal with. The bottom line is, if we have better linkshell management options we'll have better linkshells, with better linkshells we'll have more happy players.

Where I come from in the development world we go after the changes that are the least amount of work for the most amount of gain. This fits that description to a 'T'.

In all honesty I don't think Linkshells were supposed to be in the game they were supposed to be Private Companies with housing and things like that. However are the Company system is not in the game yet they probably just threw in Linkshells quickly just to give people the ability to have some sort of LS/Guild thing, that would explain the distinct lack of features.

Well I think the dev's or forum mods have been on vacation this week. There have been numerous posts about this and yet never get an answer.

Just like that long list of questions which will never get answered either prob. Devs seem a bit more active in JP forum then in ours. May have better luck translating this into JP and posting there...

Bumping due to urgency of issue, this needs to be addressed not by some simple text command but a GUI command
