"This is not what I was promised"
"After seeing FFXI, why this game was released like this?"
"They should have learned from FFXI and build upon it"
Etc, etc, etc.
All those things and many, many more have been said for the past year. We all know, we complained non stop. Some of us dont even play that much, because its not worth it to play an unfinished game.
But you have not yet answered my question. They are doing everything they can to try and turn this game around, weather they fail or succeed is irrelevant. They are doing everything they can with what has been given to them by SE.
What else do you think they can do?
What would you do? (Thinking that, like every project, you have been given a budget and a time frame to fix the issues)
Two simple questions with really long and complex answers.
I think one year is enough time to get pass the "Why did this game fail when it had so many things going for it" mindset. It already happened. No reason to cry for spilled milk after a long year. If you take the time to see past your dissatisfaction, you will remember the teams were changed, the direction of the game had to be redesigned, the core mechanics are still being re-done and blah blah blah the same information we know since God knows when, but that anyone with enough working brain cells know its not something that is doable in three to six months (Even if you do not have knowledge of game development, like myself).
I see by your history you are a pretty active player, you like playing the game. But you are playing an unfinished game and at the same time you are complaining the game is not finished, so why do you keep playing? why dont you wait until is worthy of your money and then come back? Take a break, or... keep playing the game, get past the same repetitive complaints about what should have been and is not and look forward to changes the developer is willing to put out so you are a happy customer.
