    [Dev 1024] Linkshell Administration Options

I could not really find a Dev tag that fit perfectly with this however Dev 1024 Crowd control seems to work well.

To Dev 1024 PLEASE for the love of god Give us the ability to remove, add, promote, and demote people to or in our linkshells without having to stand next to them. This ability should be available whether the member is online of offline. Many of us run linkshells to which multiple people have become inactive due to leaving the game, possibly joining other linkshells, or they are just plain lazy and do not do events with a linkshell. This is a basic feature that should have been implemented when the game was designed before alpha stage. We are 6 months after release of the game and with the dwindling populations on servers, many of us are possibly on our 2nd or 3rd LS reform because we cannot do the simplest of things like remove someone from a Linkshell, when they are offline.

On to my 2nd topic regarding this, Linkshell messages, FFXI had a really nice feature for LS sacks and Members, a Linkshell topic, please bring this back so we may properly schedule events. I cannot say how many times I have heard members and sacks complaining that said feature is not in the game. This should be very easy to add and once again another feature that should have been in the game pre alpha phase of testing, not sure why it is not in game.

Please add these features into the system either in 1.17 or in 1.18 or many of us would not care if it was added in a small mini patch at the end of the month. The community has been begging for these features I think it is about time they are added in as your customer base is demanding it.

Sadly this topic is not getting as many responses as I had hoped, if people do not respond to it I doubt the Devs will even look at it.

Hey you even tagged it correctly (well tagged it period since there isn't a specific section for it) so i'll "bump for great justice" whenever I see it drop down to the second page :P.

No they haven't changed XIV would be fine if we could kick ppl who never come online, I wonder if Devs have it this way to prevent us from booting ppl so hopefully when ppl come back they have something to come back to.
Yeah, if nothing else just being able to boot offline members is all I ask for the moment. Although further down the line i'd like to see much better LS management options and features like, Last Time Online displayed, where player is located, level and current job, promoting from a distance, creating groups, LS message of the day, etc etc.

And that my friend is exactly what XI's LS management tools offered =/ so how do ppl say it was terrible lmfao, If it was exactly like XI's ls tool system this thread would not be needed.

Off topic but too bad they wont treat the class system the same as this rebuild from the ground up, its just as terrible. XD

This could be because there is also a thread about this in the appropriate section of the forums.

Also, "crowd control" is about controlling the behavior of multiple monsters, not players.

Well Crowd control is very vague, also that other topic despite how long it has been there is not getting the Devs attention for whatever reason.

This is a very long on ongoing issue that has plagued the game since Beta, and for whatever reason the Mods and Devs continue to ignore it as a major issue. To some it may not seem like much of an issue, but to those of us that Run certain things as events, whether they were meant to be or not, we need the full functionality of our linkshells.

As of right now short of reporting this topic to the Mods and Begging them to respond I do not see what other options we have to get a firm comment from SE regarding this.

Edit: Milestone 200th Forum Post for me /yay

Could also be because people are split between that thread and this one, both getting only half the attention.

It may be vague, but in the context of the actual dev article, "Revision of crowd control actions for each class to improve party-based play", seems clear enough.

And "crowd control" is a fairly well-used term in other MMOs for managing groups of monsters during combat.

While the original post is incorrectly tagged, the linkshell issue is an important one to address, so this is in fact a bump
