that other topic despite how long it has been there is not getting the Devs attention for whatever reason.
It's probably got the attention, just because they don't post in every thread doesn't mean its not had their attention, in fact having it in the correct sub-forum is more likely to get their attention

    - Being able to kick offline members is really important otherwise you are just forced to break and start again.

    - Listing online members at the top of the members list would make sense.

    - Adding current level and class to the list of names. (or an option to click a name to get more details)

    - Being able to put up a message of the day.

    - When player was last online.

    - An info sub section with the ability for leaders to type upto 1000 characters of information, such as website addresses and vent details.

I forgot to mention where the user is when they are online, that also needs to be added to linkshell stuff.

Jinko the reason it is not in that subsection is cause I'm lazy lol I never really go to any forums but general and I assume most are also the same way.

    I am a linkshell leader, 100 members ( 75 inactive, 25 active )
I do have members that need to be kicked,
I am unable to do so,
I patiently wait for the day where we can manage our linkshells properly,

One of the few good things AION the MMO had was their linkshell management menu/page, you had everything there, EVERYTHING. you could know who had played when and for how long, you knew who was active and inactive, you had the DATA to make choices and to manage the legion / linkshell,

FFXIV is missing a lot of basic, take for granted, stuff,

I'm very disappointed with FFXIV and Linkshell management is one of those disappointment,

Thats kind of my point, if you want things to change then you should be posting in the correct place, being lazy isn't a good enough excuse.

Signing in for this, many people complain about it and we're not getting any info. Don't know if they have it planned for companies but i don't care, i want it for linkshells.

agreed regular members do not realize how awkward it is to be head of a linkshell. you have members gone for months, but cannot get rid of them. it causes the shell size to look big, but with only a few people actually online.

at the very least they could make it to where if a person is gone for a set length of time they fall off the linkshell roster or move to a seperate group called inactives that do not take space on the linkshell roster. they if you have 100 members, but 50 haven't been online in a month you only show as 50 members and 50 inactives and can give their spots away when the space is needed.

this should be a basic feature to have as a ls leader that they could promote/kick members from a linkshell regardless of where the person is and if they are online of not.

Meeting the new members in person when I give them their Linkpearls, is a good thing that should not be removed. However, it is obligatory to be able to release inactive or unwanted members anytime, anywhere. We know of cases where unwanted members run away and hide to prevent being kicked, making it impossible for the Linkshell Master to remove them from the LS. And members who are never online even more so.

I also agree with Darkstarpoet1 that automaticaly sorting members could be a handy feature, if done correctly.

The Linkshell system in this game should be fixed by the time they even release the Companies. Think of how many times you'd have to bug a company leader to add in a LS reform whenever you want to do a sweep?

Really, this is frankly inexcusable at this point. I don't care how busy the development team is, this is a KEY feature that should have been implemented ages ago. The fact that this has not been worked on is simply a testament to how disorganized and in some cases idiotic the development teams have been.

Its not like these are hard features to create, there does not need to be "discussions", surveys, meetings, or deliberations on these features. There needs to be the ability to kick inactive members or members from a distance, this is something virtually every other online game has done since the beginning of time.

As for the argument that other "more important" things need to be fixed, I'm not buying it anymore. This feature should honestly take less than a week to develop / debug and test. Possibly even less if the original coder of the linkshell system was to sit down and hammer it out. If the reason they have not fixed it is because it is "difficult", well then we might as well shut the whole thing down because there is no hope for more advanced changes to work / be what we are looking for.
