PS3 Error code [11070] [502] help plz.

It seems like I will always get this error when I try to patch the game. I get to the login page to try to confirm my purchase/ link my account dance that they make you do and as soon as I hit next I get hit with this message

"The Server is not reponding.
For assistance with this issue, please visit the SQUARE ENIX Support Center.
http;//sqex.to/x4w
[11070][502]"

This has been happening to me since I signed up for P4, which I didn't get to play because of this error. I tried everything the FAQ said, I made sure my cookies and java were enabled on the PS3 and I don't know what else to do. If anyone has any suggestions; other than get on PC (I can't, a motherboard/CPU upgrade is too expensive right now), I would greatly, wholeheartedly, appreciate the response.

I'm having a similar problem. First time patch ran normally, however when I try to update to the 2013.08.22.0000.0001 patch I get the following error:

"The Server is not responding.
For assistance with this issue, please visit the SQUARE ENIX Support Center.
http://sqex.to/x4w
[11070][403]"

Like Nezzu, I've also tried allowing cookies and java on my PS3 browser.

I'd greatly appreciate any feedback on this matter.

i got the same thing.. i reset my system to default setting and it worked for me.. try it

yeah, my friend had this EXACT problem. I told him to go onto his ps3 browser and enable COOKIES. he went back on the client and "poof" it works.

Thanks for the advice, Moonsara and Tastydoorstop. However, even after resetting my PS3 system and re-enabling cookies in my PS3 browser I keep getting the same error message.

Maybe it's just the servers being congested. Still, if anyone has any more advice I'd greatly appreciate it.

well that sucks..

my friend also linked his account from the square enix site too i think. enabled his cookies and worked, weird.

*he was also having this problem during open beta.

Just an update. Yesterday, after the second emergency maintenance, I tried to patch up my PS3version and it worked. Maybe it was a server side issue after all.

If anyone had a similar problem, might want to try updating now. Hope that helps.
