All I want is the Goblin King; a steampunk-themed, firework-filled, fun-like-the-moogle-king fight rife with jokes about (and maybe music inspired by) David Bowie.

Right time for me to add my bit in, I would say that siren is going to be primal for lamia, also considering the video of silver skies battle it is mentioned we were halted when primal midgarosmer was summoned even though we successeded in killing it but we lost our flagship and most of our attack force which makes me say drakes have him as their primal but bhamut is the elder primal not a normal primal, meaning he isn't linked to anyone element.
As for mommoulja(sp?) I would think their primal would be a fire based like cereberus. Of course we are mostly going with tge tribes we know but what is the main reason for the empire to attack and what is their one true god? It's not one of the twelve we know since they are being called false gods also in v1.0 there was a mission in mor dona where they converted prisoners to their own belief by some ceremony so it makes me think they have a primal? Or even a god they had summoned that marked them into feral like the beastmen.
Also what are the elementals of gridania since they have more then enough power to make garuda / ramuh stay their hand, even in weakend state wince the calamity.
Forgot to mention whats the primal for ogres, or are they part of gigas tribe? Because to me they seemed more fire aligned then ice...

I guess our "pantheon" should be like this.
Primals.
- Ifrit: Fire.
- Shiva: Ice.
- Garuda: Wind.
- Leviathan: Water.
- Titan: Earth.
- Ramuh: Lightning.
ELDER primals.
- Bahamut - Non-Elemental.
- Odin - Dark.
- Alexander - Light. (srsly, alexander is cool, just sayin)
Higher creatures.
- Nidhogg - Dragon King.
- Midgardsorm - Death cause noob lol.
- Behemoth - ????
Guardian Deity.
Hell, 12 of em. Which seems to be "good".
Zodiac Braves.
Come on, we can have other 12 "primal like enemies", maybe something like "guardian deity nemesis", or "bad version of the guardians". I would just love to see them in game.
Yeah, we got like 10 years of "godtier hunting" worth in summons, primals, god, etc, etc, etc.
AND just add Alexander!
I would think Odin is elder primal along side with Bhamut, while behemoth I dont think counts as primal its more like a avatar of so and so god like that Basilisk in coerthas.
if anything I would say Behemoth to be Beast king, while Midgardsorm to be lesser primal one that doesn't govern a element but needs to be summoned into the world none the less.
also the Dark guys seem to be governed by one of the gods, so is it Evil Deity ? we dont know that yet as we are yet to find out which deity it is, also in V1.0 I always thought that the one in Dalamud the lesser moon was Odin dont know why but yea, should have thought about it that in every FF game Bhamut is the one who is locked/sealed up in start, I guess it was noobish mistake T_T

Primals don't leave corpses, Midgardsormr's corpse is in the world.I would think Odin is elder primal along side with Bhamut, while behemoth I dont think counts as primal its more like a avatar of so and so god like that Basilisk in coerthas.

Yep. It has been confirmed (again) that Midgarsormr is not a primal.
I know they aren't of the Spoken, but Mandragoras should have a primal named Ozymandias. He'd be a elder primal of course what with being the king of kings.

Facts:
There are six elements, plus the non-elemental nature: earth, fire, ice, lightning, water, wind. These six elements can be captured into crystals. There is also deaspected crystals, which fit with the non-elemental nature.
There are six astral eras, six + one umbral eras.
There are twelve gods: two for each element, one for each month. I guess one for each era as well.
There are six known primals: Titan (Earth), Ifrit (Fire), Garuda (Wind), Leviathan (Water), Shiva (Ice) and Ramuh (Lightning).
There are Elder Primals: Bahamut and Odin.
Also, there are voidsent and the towering crystal Hydaelin.
Guessing:
In order to have duality, we need to have six more primals, one for each element. They could be the elder primals, but I brush that thought aside.
These six primals to be seen might be special. For as we have a primal for each element, we might group these six into the "umbral faction" of each element. The primals to be seen might be the "astral faction".
At the very least, there are five elder primals missing - one for each umbral era. I imagine they are elementally aligned with the era's element. Odin is the Lightning Elder Primal.
Bahamut's existence heralds a 13th god (the towering crystal Hydaelin?).
Out of curiosity, does anyone know how any of the previous astral eras ended? It can help.

I could be way off but I think it was said in the game that the primals are born from the belief of there worshipers and the more worshipers they have the more powerful they are. If this is the case then they are very similar to the chaos gods of Warhammer who are formed from the essence of chaos in the void and belief makes the exits. If this is the case then there could be an infinite number of primals as long as someone can imagine them and believe in them. The powerful ones will be the ones with lots of followers.
If this is the case then the devs could add whatever they want. This could also mean that the twelve are the same thing.
On a side note magic in warhammer works the same way it is basically the willpower of the mage that forms the spell out of the chos of the void, also superstition works in this kind of world because belief effects magic.
I understand your point. But I have to point out that by "born" it means "they are brought to this world".
The tribes do not create Primals, they bring them to this world. And from what I have seen, despite still being stuck at level 20, the Paragons assigned a Primal to a tribe.
Speaking of which, we can get a better hold of this mystery, if we better understand the relationships between the Primals, the Paragons and the beast tribes. Does the main story shed some light on this after level 20?
