First thing I said when I saw the video "Showing the Behemoth FATE is going to confuse new players." Behemoth is not a Primal, it's more like a HNM FATE with Drops.
To clear up confusion. Midgarsormr and Nidhogg are not Primals. Good King Moggle Mog XIIth was referred to as a Primal fight up until recently. In essence it's still a Primal fight even if he's not a true "Primal." For those that didn't get to experience the fight here is the story of Good King Moggle Mog XIIth.
The Mamool Ja are currently in Eorzea to work as Mercenaries (and they also bring the Lore that there is land to the west of Vylbrand).![]()
As of currently we do not know if any other Primals besides Ifrit, Garuda, Titan, Leviathan, and Ramuh have been summoned into the realm. There's no dialogue (yet) of the Paragons having taught the Gigas/Giants to use Shiva around the same time as the other Beast tribes or if taught recently. The Beastmen may worship a Primal (the Ixali worshipped Garuda well before being able to summon her) without even being able to summon them and interact with said Primal.
Nice find, I love little bits like this. Did I hear correctly that there is a large land mass to the south? As opposed to Ilsabard northward and Othard to the far east.

Hey guys, I've sprinted through this thread before posting this but I didn't see anyone bringing up the 1.0 Cinematic of the battle of silvertear lake when the primals were "unsealed" by the ship and Midgasormir. (sorry if someone did and I skipped your post)
More primals than there are elements, you say? Look at the amount of lights flying away... there are a lot more than 6 lol. I'm not saying ALL the lights in the cinematic were primals since..well..there was an explosion after all. But I'm betting most of those were so there's really no limit to the amount of bosses the devs can bring forth in the patches after release. In fact I'm pretty sure they are giving us the present set of Primals not because they are locked in lore as being 1 per element, but rather because the variety in element brings more visual diversity and identity to each of them. =)
Considering the similarities between XIV and XI when it comes to Primals and Avatars here's a list of the Avatars and groups they fall under:
8 Celestial Avatars
Shiva, Ifrit, Leviathan, Ramuh, Titan, Garuda, identical to XIV, but then there are 2 more elements
Odin, Alexander, so far Alexander hasn't been mentioned and Dark/Light aren't elements like they were in XI
5 Terrestial Avatars
Bahamut (Dragon, Nonelemental/Fire idr, The Wyrmking, Conqueror of the Skies), Carbuncle (Fox, Light, The Bringer of Rainbows, The Trickster), Fenrir (Wolf, Dark, The Great Beast, Guardian of the Moon), Diabolos (Bat, Dark, Lord of Dynamis, it's Diabolos and NOT Diablos), Phoenix (Bird, Fire/Light?, Fiery Bird of Rebirth)
So far we have Bahamut, Carbuncle (who is not a Primal... as far as we know) and Fenrir (who may/may not be a Primal), only missing 2 of the Terrestials in XIV
2 Temporal Avatars
Cait Sith (Light elemental?), Atomos (Dark elemental?)
Atomos is a voidsent in 14?

We actually had Astral and Umbral (Light/Dark) elements up until the major battle system change in 1.0 (patch 1.18 if memory serves). Since then they have taken a backseat, but I wouldn't count them out just yet. From playing around with Arcanist in phase 4, it appears they may be tapping into those.
The Lalafell come from an island-chain continent to the south. I think the Miqo'te are from the same islands but their islands were probably larger since they liked to hunt for their food while Lalafell liked to fish.
Aldenard, Othard, and Islabard are the 3-major continents of Hydaelyn. The Roegadyn have their fishing lands to the north (might be part of Islabard), the southern island chain continent (Lalafell and Miqo'te come from), and now the land to the west of Vylbrand where the Mamool Ja have come from.

Just to add a bit more information, the southern lands are ALSO the origin of arcanima, originally from... If... Memory serves me... Astrologists who discovered that the geometrical patterns used in their studies held power, which in turn led to shifting from astrology to directed arcanima studies. The Lalafell come from an island-chain continent to the south. FF has a strong balance between Light and Dark theme(With Astral/Umbral being its representation in this particular incarnation). What if the 12 are the Light aspect with Each primal being a Dark aspect. With each Primal matching up with one of the 12(thus having 12 primals)
Good point, some of them may be baby Primals since they have few/no worshipers history.Hey guys, I've sprinted through this thread before posting this but I didn't see anyone bringing up the 1.0 Cinematic of the battle of silvertear lake when the primals were "unsealed" by the ship and Midgasormir.
