The larger a group of people the more potential points will be garnered, the quicker your rank rises, and the easier purchasing bonuses becomes.

A large Free Company will have more activities - by allowing members to self organize into Linkshells this makes it so everyone can be doing something relevant to their interests. A social network also eliminates the need for searching for public groups - no restrictive or low population Free Company can say the same when a pivotal member is unavailable to do content!
