Im LvL 31 now, lvling my Lancer to 15 for getting Monk.
Puglist is a really Fun Class

But i kinda dont get the hang of "Striking from Behind" and "Striking from Side".
Kinda hard cause the Monsters always turn arround when i turn xD
    Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

Is there a special Trick to always succes?

It's quite hard to do solo.

When trying to hit from behind you'll either have to wait for them to stand still when using a skill, or run through their model and turn quick.
When trying to hit from the side it's not so hard, just be quick on your buttons.

In groups it's a lot easier, just keep your eye on the floor marker for the gap representing the rear of the mob. Also remember that tanks will often move slightly to avoid conal, be ready for that if the mob is using a skill.

Yeah i know how to do it in Dungeons, i was talking about solo lvling, 1on1 Fights with moving objekts ^^

    @TorinNionel
thats what i tough. In groups i always run arround and strike bosses from every side. But in solo play its kinda more effektive to stand in front of the mob and kill it xD

Yes, and no. It may look like that but do not follow it.

the back is actually not perpendicular, just like the sides are not parallel.

There is about a 20 degree left/right that is considered rear, and after that a flank, so rather then thinking as square, think of it like a rather "X"

    ----rear---
    flankXflank
    ---front---
So in practice, you want to be as centered as possible. armchairing aside, under server lag and battle frenzy, you're just going to screw up, trying to make the "minimum".

Trying to "pro" it will only screw you up, and nothing worse then a missed crit on boot.

So just keep doing what you're doing, it's saves a lot of hassle in the end, but you could try to do it if there's a whole bunch of nasties around (like Darkhold boss)

Kuku is right. it's more like an X, but in soloing it's much easier to run through a monster to the side and tap your button and run back through than it is to lock on and spin around hoping you get the hit. If you do wish to lock on the best you can get are rear attacks which only require you to jump over the enemy and hit the button on pass over.

Also yes you didn't have to move all the way to the side.
