I ended up swapping a hero accessory that gave extra crit but less accuracy. Didn't get to update my post because I was at work.

I'm using Valks numbers to compare the sets.
The 15 DET is about 5 STR. So a loss of 2.
20 Crit is about 3 STR
So a total of 5 STR loss on 70% of damage.

But since DET is double STR on AA it's a gain of 30 - 10 = 20 STR 30 -5 = 25 STR for 30% of damage. (7 Actual STR + Crit Value 3 - Total of 10)

So then 70/30 = 2.33
20\2.33 = 8.6
8.6 -5 = +3.6
So it would add about 3 STR worth to overall damage.

This will run through the full formula that Valk produced which is what you are basing your set on. You will see that your set is a loss plain and simple.

I see the error in my ways. I was to the understanding that DET was 2xSTR in regards to AA but.....

DTR seems to have roughly twice the return on investment for auto-attack than for weaponskills.

I don't get most of what you're trying to compare, but this is pretty far off base.

For autoattacks, Determination is vaguely around twice as good as Determination normally is (for abilities). Not 'double STR'.

Yeah, I think he's misunderstood the formula he read or maybe some information from their methodology on Valk.

At least if it's going to be a bagh nakha, then there's plenty of interesting designs for those.
Designs that aren't just holding a really big claw (which most of the time just looks like you have huge hands).

that's the main thing that bothers me about these clawed weapons... when we attack, the claws look even more ridiculous than they already do (which is prettty ridiculous considering how silly they look)

Seems this is our new allagan gear based on the dragoon (most likely to have the same gear as monk judging by the only monk in the whole video)


Also, looking at all those new coil weapons, they all have a red glow as oppose to the blueish ilvl 95 from T5
