I heard there were legacy players who did not in fact receive the legacy introduction and their characters do not receive the same dialogue throughout the story as other legacy players. A glitch.
That sucks.. Shooting in the dark here but maybe it is because you started a new character? That character wouldn't have a 1.0 survivor story, only the survivors have that story XD.
If its a bug, hopefully they get it fixed soon~!
This is confusing, or its being overly confused by players. Need some links to youtube vids of what the differences are between 1.0 old characters and new characters intro scenes.
Bascialy in beta phase 2 I used a new character and I started in limsa lominsa and I was on a ship heading towards the city which then drops me off. In phase 3 and 4 I played my 1.0 character and again started in limsa and this time the whole ship part was skipped and it jumps straight to the limsa city part. Is this the difference you mean?

I wish it was that simple, but the only character I have is my legacy character. I know the new character intro from the early beta version where we couldn't play legacy, but in phase 3 and phase 4 the story never changed for me like it did most 1.0 characters.
I know SE said they were going to fix it between phase 3 and phase 4, but phase 4 rolled around and I'm still being treated as a new character. I'm hoping SE is going to do something to correct it. Even if everything from here on out is legacy as it should be, that wouldn't bother me that much. Would just like to get it corrected.
What is this legacy intro lol? no ones actualy saying exactly what this was so I cant say if ive had it or not.
I believe you're supposed to appear and walk to your chosen town instead of the carriage ride. I didn't get the 1.0 character intro, either.
From what I understand, instead of going to your main city by carriage or boat, you teleport in terminator 2 style ( I dont know if there's more cause I don't get the scene) There's also a few phrases here and there throughout the main story that are slightly different. Since we've only been able to do the main quest up to 20 we don't know if there's going to be more alterations to the story or not.
Yeah, the 'legacy intro' is that instead of riding/swimming to the town, you get the scene where your character appears in a forest and then walks into the city by foot.
As for scenes further down the road. Minfilla recognizes you and apologizes that you have to deal with people not remembering you, but it's just 3-4 sentences.
In the sotry there is a light altercation. THat (vail) will be lifted with those characters later in the story after join the GC line. Have to see how that unfolds.
THe intro basically puts you in the void as the last AF character you had equipped, for me that was Black Mage, even tho I started as Arcanist. Then the pop in.

Hmm I guess Limsa is unique because your character can't obviously walk over water. XD But it's mostly just your character appearing out in the wilds, shocked that the world is fine, then heads to the homecity to check up on things. Your character does not start out on the 'transportation' that all new players start on (and do not get that bonus item too from the merchant). This is confusing, or its being overly confused by players. I stopped caring about it after Phase 4. It doesn't sound too different from the new player stuff, so its hardly a worry. At least to me.
It would be nice to get it fixed, but well my 1.0 charas are already in play, so the cutscene won't matter.
