Fixing Legacy Characters Story

I've done a quick search on Dalamud's horn. On every site that it's featured as an item, there is nothing saying that it is required for the 1.0 legacy cutscene. In fact, there seems to be nothing special about it other than bragging rights that you completed the story from what I can see.

Edit: Also looked up "Do you need to defeat Nael Van Darnus for 2.0?" and the Once in a Lifetime achieve. Nothing again. So if the Devs said something, there would be something all over the internet about this. I'm not buying that we actually needed to defeat him to do so.
