Dunno, I didn't see that 1.0 storyline would have an effect on 2.0 storyline.
Maybe if more people knew that it had weight for 2.0, more people would have done it? =_=

This is very disappointing and even seems like 1.0 players were lied to. In interviews at E3 it is said that legacy players will have a different story. No where was it ever said you would have a different story IF you did a certain quest.

I am happy we got an answer finally, but I am pretty disappointed with it. It doesn't do anything but open up plotholes. Weren't we all at the Battle of Carteneau whether we destroyed the transmitter or not? Where were we during the last five years if not transported through time? Why do we have meteor survivor tattoos (although I'm pretty sure mine only shows up in the character selection screen and not in game, for some reason)?
Yeah. The part that stings for me is that I assumed that all v1.0 adventurers were in that mass of people at Carteneau. According to this, those who didn't finish that quest were not. We certainly didn't get teleported. Perhaps we should ask the several lore masters for any insight on this if SE won't tell us?I would personally like it if we can get a story on what the heck we were doing for the past 5 years. Just for closure and all. I know we've been gone for five years but it seems a bit odd that no one remembers who we were even though we were not warriors of light and were friends in arms with them once upon a time.

Have you tried toggling a couple times with '/legacymark' or '/lmark'?I am happy we got an answer finally, but I am pretty disappointed with it. It doesn't do anything but open up plotholes. Mine keeps disappearing and I have to toggle it 'off' and then back 'on' to get it to show up again.
Let's see what we can do about filling that plot hole. The story still doesn't make any sense for at least anyone who didn't get the 1.0 story. What have we been doing for five years? How did we get the legacy tattoo? Where did this chocobo come from? Why doesn't anyone remember us even if we were not present to be affected by Louisoix's spell? Are we actually alive or did we die in the calamity? There is many more questions than just this I would like answered. Where is our lore dev when we need him?

I don't think you completed the quest. Mine says:
10/20/2012Masamune Branford has completed the Maelstrom quest "United We Stand (Limsa Lominsa)"!
10/20/2012Masamune Branford has acted jointly with members of other Grand Companies to destroy the lunar transmitter inside Castrum Novum!
I'm assuming you didn't turn in the quest? Or I can't recall, maybe the one you have is merely unlocking the quest?
