I honestly hope we get a mod's explanation because I know quite a few people whom had been waiting for one since Phase 3.

I hope this Issue is addressed somehow. :,(
Forgive the cliche, but:
It kinda cuts into my *cough* immersion that I come into Limsa on a boat as I have already arrived to Eorzea a long, long time ago. Sure there's a catch when he asks you if you've been there before, but still...
While I may not have been around for the final days, I still cut down my fair share of Garleans. Oh plenty of them bled at the edge of my mighty axe. I demand recompense! (Also, my characters have "the mark." This should be enough in itself...)

I would love to have this fixed as well. Through all these previous phases I didn't get the 1.0 intro ever. And when this was first brought up two months ago now I guess.. I saw a bunch of people saying they hadn't completed the story in 1.0 but still got the 1.0 intro. There seemed to be no rhyme or reason to the issue so it must be a bug.
Sadly, the fact that I'm sure most people already started playing with their 1.0 character during Phase 4 and went through the beginning so we wouldn't really be able to see that scene again unless they decide to put it in the book thing in the Inn room. On top of the fact that the launch is a few days away so I think they just left and moved onto more important bugs..
Sucks though as I would have liked to have the correct intro and dialogue.
Not sure how it is for Uldah or Limsa (Since Gridania is my home) but for my character that had finished the 1.0 storyline I got an opening similar to this trailer

Then in Various CS people have this sort of reaction when they "First" meet me.

There are a few differences that I have noticed just on how your character arrives to the starting city.

I'm a V1.0 Character with Legacy status, when I started in phase 4 I chose my old character and remodel it, then had to chose my MRD to start in :imsa, before starting to play the game asked me this "start the game with your new character?" or something close, my character is NOT new! So it is indeed a bug that was addressed, I started in the ship to port, nothing came up to me about being familiar and I found it strange, I even checked my journal for the V1.0 main quest line, I went way deep in the story, I think I had to finish 2/1 more quests to end the story.
Hopefully this is gonna be corrected by early access soon.
A lot of confusion over mounts in P4 were due to people's choco whistle, and gobbue horn being held by either the Calamity NPC or stuck on a retainer. I have a full Calamity NPC and a full retainer of stuff to sort through when I first logged in and it was really nice to have the armory, and a second retainer to spread stuff out all organized like.
