Fixing Legacy Characters Story

Need some links to youtube vids of what the differences are between 1.0 old characters and new characters intro scenes.

The legacy intro is basically what is shown at the end of the "A New Beginning" trailer for ARR. The legacy characters are teleported into the new world and are kind of taken aback by it. They show up in their respective city and the person who welcomes them seems to recall who they are, but their memory is fuzzy. The rest of the dialogue throughout the story constantly refers to the legacy character as being "very familiar" or "reminds [the NPC] of a hero they once knew".

Once you meet Minfilia, she states that she personally remembers who you are and thanks you for all you've done for the realm, but everyone else forgot due to the magic that Louisoix had casted; however, since no one else can remember, she treats you as if you're a stranger to the group and apologizes for it.

I wish it was that simple, but the only character I have is my legacy character. I know the new character intro from the early beta version where we couldn't play legacy, but in phase 3 and phase 4 the story never changed for me like it did most 1.0 characters.

I know SE said they were going to fix it between phase 3 and phase 4, but phase 4 rolled around and I'm still being treated as a new character. I'm hoping SE is going to do something to correct it. Even if everything from here on out is legacy as it should be, that wouldn't bother me that much. Would just like to get it corrected.

I believe you're supposed to appear and walk to your chosen town instead of the carriage ride. I didn't get the 1.0 character intro, either.

Well if the only difference is that you skip the ship sailing in limsa or the carriage ride in gridania, then the new character intro is longer and better and the 1.0 character scene is shorter and just skips a bit.

Im legacy, I completed the entire main story and all the GC quests to the end, and I logged out moments before dalamud crashed.

Upon logging in with my 1.0 character in phase 4 last week I got a cutscene with a giant Hydaelyn crystal from the core of the planet that had a voice over, the character flys into this. Is this the 1.0 character intro?

I didn't get it either. I completed the 1.0 storyline but never did Nael van Darnus.

Yeah, the 'legacy intro' is that instead of riding/swimming to the town, you get the scene where your character appears in a forest and then walks into the city by foot.

As for scenes further down the road. Minfilla recognizes you and apologizes that you have to deal with people not remembering you, but it's just 3-4 sentences.

There's a lot more differences than that. Minfillia isn't the only character that recognizes you, and more people remember eventually

In the sotry there is a light altercation. THat (vail) will be lifted with those characters later in the story after join the GC line. Have to see how that unfolds.

THe intro basically puts you in the void as the last AF character you had equipped, for me that was Black Mage, even tho I started as Arcanist. Then the pop in.

I stopped caring about it after Phase 4. It doesn't sound too different from the new player stuff, so its hardly a worry. At least to me.

It would be nice to get it fixed, but well my 1.0 charas are already in play, so the cutscene won't matter.

The "Legacy" intro/different storyline is for those who actually beat the Storyline after Raven and got their Dalamud Horn. If you didn't, even thou you are a legacy member and/or a 1.0 surviving character with a Branded tattoo, it doesn't matter. Makes sense in a way. My main got the slightly different storyline while my alt, whom did nothing GC wise nor trying to save the world, got the tattoo but no dice with the whole "remembering" part.
