Fixing Legacy Characters Story

The major NPCs seem to suggest that my characters look familiar to them somehow. But they even said that on the new character I made during P4. I know that I did not receive the unique introductory cutscene on Hestern, my 1.0 character, but my characters, even my new characters, are still being treated as familiar to NPCs.

Are all players/characters then treated as "familiar" in some way, then?

Is there anyone here who qualified for the legacy campaign (I didn't), completed Nael van Darnus/1.0 storyline (I didn't), but still didn't receive the slightly modified intro scene (I didn't)? Could it be tied to the legacy campaign somehow? That is what I am trying to figure out here.

I'm perfectly okay with not having the intro scene, to be clear here. This post isn't a complaint -- more curiosity. For example, if every character seems familiar to the major NPCs, then it presents to me a hypothesis for what will happen next in the story... Hmmm...

So to compile the information we already have on the issue.

1. It is widely believed from Square-Enix's wording that all characters made in 1.0 will have the "Legacy Story" that has a different opening without the carriage ride and just appear out of thin air and walks into town similar to the CG Derplander. You will also get a Legacy Mark and slightly different dialogues with NPCs at various points in the main story.

2. The way to tell whether your 1.0 got the "Legacy Story" is from the intro and Minfilia's dialogue. She will specifically apologize for having to act if she doesn't know you.

3. Whether you beat Nael seems to have no bearing on whether you get the "Legacy Story" or not. For example, Zeille and Keres above have not beaten Nael in 1.0 but still got the Legacy beginning.

4. We have no idea if Legacy status is required to get the "Legacy Story", however, there are players who DO have Legacy status, such as ravndark, who still got the new character story and not the "Legacy Story"

I'd also like to add that I'm a none-Legacy 1.0 player who only got as far as the quest where you attempt to settle the dispute between the crystal exchange company and the Ixian and Amal'jaa. I did NOT get the "Legacy Story" intro.

They are not going to answer this before EA lol.. This has been brought up several times since B3 and even accepted into the bug section with no official response. So don't hold your breath. They are not wiping P4 character data either so we have all already missed out on it whether we were suppose to get it or not. The most they will do as a fix is change all 1.0s characters story book in the inn with the updated scene and give the same copy and paste apology they always give.

I'm not expecting a fix or wipe, just an answer so at least we know what's going on :
- Do they still acknowledge the issue and plan to do something about it anytime soon
- Or are the conditions for those who don't get the "Legacy / 1.0 / warriors of light / w/e" cs not met and if then, what are they

As for early access, if I know they are going to fix it soon, I can focus more on leveling jobs, crafts etc. instead of keeping going on with main story to get to see more interactions from NPC to my 1.0 character (and as Kirito said in post under this one, I want to get treated as a Meteor survivor).

Honestly I am fine with that. I really want to be treated like a returning character. I don't care if I can only see the legacy cutscenes I missed through our inn book. I just want to see my character experiencing it and get treated as the meteor survivor he is.

I understand completely how both of you feel. I want the exact same thing and wish they would provide us with some clarification on it. Im honestly just being realistic about it. You will almost never get a response to any of your questions unless they pick it in the live letter or something. Rarely do they just come out and answer your questions. Also, they are about to launch this game and I think there are most important issues at hand, such as people not even being able to register the game and being able to play at all. Be patient and they will eventually (I hope) answer us about this.

This is Literally my last burning question i have for ARR

As a Legacy 1.0 Player, i have the New Player intro.
And i Want the 1.0 Character Intro

I hope this gets fixed somehow.
