Patch Issue from Alpha/Beta -- Has it been resolved?

Would you be able to confirm as to why you didn't download the client from the official page?

I spent downloading the official game last Friday night (starting at 5pm, giving up around 11pm) and Saturday (starting at 8am until about 2pm eastern). Downloading Patch A through C took constant tries Friday night. Patch A would download, go to install, error out, then leave a message up on my screen to click okay. This would log me out. I would then close and re-open the launcher so I could download the patch. After logging in, it wouldn't restart where I left off at attempting to install patch A, it would restart the entire patch A download (roughly 1.5gigs).

Patch D never installed over my trying from 8 am til 2pm. When I got to 2pm I got frustrated and decided to torrent the full download (which I found a link on reddit).

What I'm scared of is, if they patch the game (which they obviously will, it's an MMO) and I lose hours/days of play time because I cannot download the game through their client.
