In all seriousness, that does really nail the problem. I think we as a community want to understand the inhabitants of the game and interact with them as much as we want to stand in Coerthas looking at 'teh pretis'

i liked it too after reading it i did a chris griffen WHAT...... when I saw a lalafell is the niece of a reodyn or w/e. I'm like thing...... lalafell + reo >.> do i want to know....

i also like how it saying we needs quests BUT all kinds of quests not mega cs filled quests ala s.o.b.

The only thing I have against the sidequests is their fixation with the number 8. Really? you have to kill 8 monsters in EVERY sidequest <<

8? not 9? 7? ...... why? XD

I've done a few of the quest so far. Some of them being Hilarious!! I'm on one now where I have to travel from Ul'dah to Limsa, which is interesting, maybe I'll even take the boat. I do enjoy doing even this first Tier of Quests so far, as it is a break from grinding and such. The rewards are pretty decent and I like that we do get SP from quest mobs now.

Wishlist for Sidequests:
1. Adding Fame would be great.
2. Fame system should be used to open up higher Tier Sidequests (FF12 style). R35 is the highest I've found so far.
3. Puzzles, Scavenger Hunt. (people will always Google stuff, but I think most will like the challenge)
4. FF Humour. My favourite ones so far have been both informative and funny.

I've now done almost all of the side-quests available to me and I must say I have enjoyed them. Some had real interesting storylines and others were downright funny.
Seeing some more varied quests would of course be nice and actually implementing more of them. Am running out of things to do already. xD

I liked the one in Limsa about Roegadyn throwing Lalafell over broken bridges to mend them from the other side, just hope in the future it's not all just description :P

I also enjoyed the one where the shipment of silk was stolen by pirates and I had to track them down and beat them up. xD Was lots of fun. Am looking forward to more side-quests.

yes I enjoyed throw the taru I mean bridging the gap. we might be getting filler but it's good filler. I would like SE to keep up the trend of giving gear from quests this way we can have ok gear and save our gil for better gear in the wards

I think it would certainly be a nice idea to include these basic sorts of quests to guide new players, giving them some equipment along the way and possibly rolling tutorials in too.
