    Unable to complete version check

I'm getting this error when trying to launch the patcher.

    Unable to complete version check.
    [30605][10009][19900][12029]

I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling (i'm using the latest phase 4 and EA launcher) and running as administrator and nothing works. This is crazy frustrating, can anyone help?

I'm getting the same message but I'm figuring its because the servers aren't up yet to check the version so I'm not getting upset about it. I'm sure as soon as the servers are up that the version check will work as intended. I'd say just wait until then unless SE says that we can log in and get the version update to be ready for Early Access. Hope this helps.

It's definitely not normal, you should be able to get to the patching screen where it says "down for maintenance".

Your broken, its not the servers. The servers are up for patching.

I've heard three different fixes as this isn't a new error.

    1. Add boot.exe to the DEP
    2. Check compatibilities settings on your shortcut and make sure it matches your OS version. Many people had it stuck at winxp instead of win7.
    3. Uninstall, delete the folder in program files, delete the folder in my documents, reinstall. Backup anything you want to save from the my documents folder. You can actually backup the folder in program files and restore it after its installed so you don't have to redownload everything.

Yeap this is due to the anti-virus. As mentioned above disable the BullGuard browser protection. For those not using BullGuard, turn off any browser protection and it will finally work for you.

Turning ZoneAlarm Browser Security On and Off

Once you have installed ZoneAlarm browser security, it’s on by default. It performs much of its work behind the scenes, until it needs to warn you about a danger or let you know the results of a download scan.

-To turn ZoneAlarm browser security on and off from ZoneAlarm:
-Open ZoneAlarm, and then click Browser Security in the left navigation bar.
-On the Browser Security panel that appears, click On or Off.

Hopefully what I've mentioned will fix this for you, Skylan.
