Server Transfer?

I do know that a lot of us were already on one server and a couple people who had to friggin' work on Saturday (and were having all sorts of download issues on Friday) were not able to join us in our server and were forced onto another server because it got locked down. Since we know there wouldn't be a server transfer they didn't get to do much on their new server knowing it would be for nothing. Now we are hoping to get them to join our server anew IF our server is back open again on Saturday morning. If not.. I'll be spitting fire since we want them joined together with the other group of 15 people already here.

15-Awesome. My friends/family have a group of five going. Well only 3 depending on how the server thing goes. Two of them were on the fence and don't want to restart or pay to move. So hopefully they do a one time free server transfer and if not-I'll be seeing them when we go drinking haha.

It's actually pretty funny how it worked out. 2 of us went way back from when we beta'd FFXI back in 2002 and brought back our crew. He brought like 7-8 people? and I brought Real life friends and some old FFXI friends totalling (counting in my head 5 with the 3 real life friends out of the server so 8). So yeah we are HOPING to get the married couple (new to the game and they spent most of the time just in the newbie zones and making alts since the character creator bench they couldn't run for some reason and they had client download issues on day 1 of beta then worked on day 2) and another single guy (old FFXI buddy who couldn't do P4 because of a wedding out of town that friggin weekend..) into our server on Saturday so I told them to wake up at dawn and start as soon as they can to get in while it's open. Wish us luck

I thought I read that until July 21 or something that they did offer a transfer.

I believe you are referring to the 1.0 server transfers from the 1.0 servers to the new 2.0 servers that already happened. The new transfers was rumored to be 3 months from now but YoshiP mentioned in the August live letter that it was moved to 3 weeks from launch.
