@ Crovax: Maybe that's just me and my inquisitive personality but when something is not working like intended(and i'd count locked servers into that) the first question that pops up for me is usually: Why?
Therefore i'd check the official sources and/or create a character on another server but with knowing the risk i might have to delete it at some point
