Q12: Are you planning to have a world transfer service?

A12: As this is a game with world barriers, we will be preparing this service so you can move to the same world as old friends as well as new people you meet and become friends with through the Duty Finder. We plan on starting this fee-based service that will allow you to transfer to the world of your choice around 2-3 weeks after launch. You can say that was not their intention but it is exactly what they are doing. I have not met one person who has said, "I don't like my server I think I will try a new one". Nearly every person requesting a server transfer that I have met or seen online wants it based on be separated from a friend.

If what you were saying it is true and there are 2 people in Gilgamesh and three of their friends/family on diabolos-Don't you think giving the ability for the two friends on Gilgamesh to transfer to diabolos would help the community by putting less stress on a high stress server and increasing the population of a lower population server?

Yet they plan to charge people to make that move that they have to do because they capped servers early on.

My server is Adamantoise and it was capped for character creation and then the server my friends went to ended up capped when I tried to join them.

you can believe what you want, but youre wrong. why do you think your starting area wasnt insanely congested and you were able to complete your quests without hordes of people? why do you think the servers were incredibly stable?

if you want to play with your friends but they are too impatient to wait for character creation, that isn't SE money grabbing; thats your friends being impatient.


character creation opened up several times on every server even on the most populated ones. and that was open beta where ANYBODY can play.

It is not about what I, or you believe. It's about what happened. I never received notice that, "This server is accepting new characters now". SE is money grabbing. You must be blinded by fan boism.

The system this game uses it is actually helpful to have a bit more of a horde around. The best groups I had while playing were the ones with 8 people netting massive xp. Though it was rare to find 8 people doing the same thing for very long in the starting areas to around 15. The starting areas could have used a bit more people.

I think with all the problems and along with many 1.0 characters some being on legacy servers should be given 1 free transfer once they are implemented. From then on, sure charge a fee why not. I don't think it wise to start gouging players right out the gate. I think they should let us get situated, we already have a lot on our plates including finding a free company, let alone gathering up everyone into one place.

again if your friends are too impatient to wait hours, yeah character creation opened several times during the OB over the course of HOURS not days. than they probably just dont want to play with you my dude.

you and your friends impatience doesnt mean SE is greedy.

i am only defending them because what youre saying is so ridiculous that it absolutely needs to be remedied. i will gladly take the fan boy label if it means you stop spitting out nonsense.

if your friends were smart they could have taken two seconds of their time to google FFXIV TWITTER. and you would have seen them say character creation is TEMPORARILY disabled. notice the key word temporary.

if only there was a world wide web of information out there that we could call upon with ease to answer these questions.

so concerned with playing with each other but you cant spend five minutes to find out why you cant play with each other and how long you have to wait.

you are entitled and you are lazy.
