On FFXIV.com there's even a button on the upper left for it and a live twitter feed with the newest information. So your friends would only have to had visited ffxiv.com.

    So you are complaining that server transfers cost money at all? Or are you complaining that you have to pay in this special case which some believe is your own fault to begin with?

    @Zynol: Yes i know what you mean. My friends and me had the same issue about joining Sargatanas but we communicated to each other and they will make new characters as soon as possible and/or transfer.
