I imagine you are just trolling now. Because I have repeatedly pointed out that people have paid between 30-80 dollars and will be paying between 10-15 dollars a month. The game is not free and I never said it should be.

It must be the fan boy inside of you that makes facts and reality blind to you.

Hmm lets see I only know of one or two mmos that have free server transfers. They get their money back other places like cash shops. Crovax I know you want to get your post count up so fire away to why a company shouldn't charge for a service that cost money to complete? They have no cash shop to recoup server transfer cost. Argue all you want but it's a service that takes resources to complete and resources cost money. If you want to play on a server with your friends so badly why not just re-roll a new character on the server they are on? Doesn't take all that long to get to level 20 and it fairly easy to reproduce a carbon copy of your characters in FFXIV.

For example. I don't expect restaurants to give me free food because they need to make money. But if I order a hamburger and they get my order wrong and they offer me the choice between another burger or getting the price reduced that is great. But if they decided to say, "Too bad. If you want another one you must pay for it" I would think they are greedy and they would lose my patronage.

The question should be, what problem do you have with people wanting to play with their friends? How does this hurt you? Why are you so against it? A one time server transfer wouldn't be that far fetched.

With server population so high, and people having to make toons on dif server than plan. I would hope if enough people posted in the same post and voice in a constructive manner. It could go allot better than how beta forums people made hundreds of like post.

I paid $70ish bucks for software to access the game. I pay $15 bucks a month to rent server space for characters in the game. Neither of those include free server transfers. I gave you a free option on getting on the same server as your friend and all you do is continue to whine. I am not saying there is anything wrong with a one time free server transfer. I just don't think you have a god given right to one just because you say so. I have 3 characters on Excalibur. I made a new one on Adamantoise so I could play with my friends. I will be having fun on the 24th while you are still on the forums crying about server transfers.

But who said I have a God given right to one just because I said so? That is rather presumptuous of you. I -NEVER- said they have to give us a free server transfer. I -DID- say they are greedy for implementing a system that divides people and then releasing with the ability to transfer servers at a cost. That is -greedy-. Is pointing out they are greedy saying I have a God given right to a free server transfer? No.

Again. Rather presumptuous of you. Come the 24th I will be playing and having fun. However at least two of my friends will not be and that will be two less people in FFXIV.

I have said that a free server transfer would fix the issue they created by putting character creation limits on their servers. That is not the same as demanding one or thinking I am owed one. But I am not blinded enough to think this is not a money grab by them.

OP: I had the same question. I got kind of stuck making a character on Siren, when I really want to transfer to Ultros as soon as possible. This thread answered my question!

Hoping this will be possible too. I wanted to be on Balmung with someone I know who plays the game but was locked out (waited over a day) and couldn't make a character on that server, so now I'm on Siren. It didn't take to long to get my character up to 11 but I don't have to much time to play games these days and it would be nice not to have to start over and just transfer my character.

I'm going to /whine a little... Can I just ask for the transfer time frame to be bumped up? I have been waiting over 2 years for a playable game and now am on a server I don't want to be on and now have to wait longer lol.
