fyi I did search and found no topics, nor where any to be seen here. So quit trolling.missed the point. im saying peoples lack of using the search feature, which is talked about in the forum rules leads to multiple threads on the same topic. In the case of this thread you probably only had to check the first or second page to see the other 2 or more threads on this topic. You could have said everything you wanted in another topic but choose to make a brand new one, hence the limitations.
I did a search and found 4 pages at least one of which contained several from this thread, One from the ... French I think, and at least 2 other threads in the english side.
The limitations are a harsh but ya know, insulting a person makes me like them. I suppose with Lodestone goes fully up I suspect the blogging feature will be useful.
I really hate this restriction for a huuuuuuuuge list of reasons. If it's not temporary, I'm going to be quite pissy. I do NOT want my characters tied to my forum name. I don't want everyone and their grandmother to see what character I'm linked to so they can harass me in and out of game. I also almost exclusively roleplay and being forced to advertise my character everywhere on the forum gets on my nerves. I'm apparently going to have to make a trash character just to hold the 'main' slot on my forum account. And of course I won't be playing that trash character, so I will never be able to have full use of the forums for a game I dropped 80 bucks on for pre-order and will be subscribing to. Way to go, SE.
I've been doing my best to keep rational through all of the issues I've experienced (over all lack of communication, 3102, EA code debacle etc) but now it's nigh impossible for me to communicate socially on the official forums regarding a service I'm paying for. Does anyone know what fan forums will be more active/reliable?
People paying the same amount for the same product should have the same restrictions (or lack thereof). This model only breeds and promotes elitist snobbery. You are not better than anyone simply for having a level 50 character and that certainly doesn't exclude you from being an asshat on the forums.

and this is why i like it, also because it forces you to display your character no more anonymous level 1 alts...well not that can post new threads anyway.

I would have to say I agree somewhat, but its kind of like taking away your voice isn't it? Just a thought.
Ouch, this makes it a problem for Free Company recruitment.![]()

can't see the bad thing about your main char being tied to your forum account
if you're so paranoid maybe being online isn't really a thing for you at all.
