Bards, Checking In!

I like it. I'm not usually a support class player, but I think having some sort of ratio: 60%DPS / 40% Buffs is going to keep me engaged, and provide a little more fun than only having one thing to do.

I give it, A+ for creativity. Just hope they come out with some better looking gear.

Future Bard here (1-2 days away probably). Been a melee dps-er/off-tank/healer my whole mmo career so I decided to sling some bloody arrows this time. Though Ranger or whatever comes next for archer will probably mean I retire my grammy worthy voice xD.

Not having archer as one of the classes wouldn't make sense, as the two are often paired on certain pieces of gear.
And the fact that its a support class...
I still lean to it being arc/cnj.
But I'm now 30/15 and cant find any place to do any sort of quest for it.

Can anyone who has actually done the quest to get the bard crystal confirm which second class is needed and where you go to do the quest?

You need a PUG as lvl 15 to do the Bard quest at lvl 30 Archer.
This is abundantly clear due to the fact that lvl 50 Bards had no access to CNJ spells in Beta 4 and spells on their Hotbars got changed to the PUG ones upon logging in.

You can start the Quest at the Archer's Guild when you have a lvl 30 Archer and lvl 15 Pugilist.

This became painfully clear to me AFTER I levelled a lvl 15 CNJ during Phase 4 and asked lvl 50 Bards the last night.
Now I gotta level a PUG from 1-15 on almost nothing else except FATE's and Levequests.

Don't forget about Hunter Logs. The exp for doing them is legit and you can team up or assist others with the kills and still get credit.

When people say that BRD is now pulling skills from PGL and LNC, they're assuming that the reader already knows that the base class is ARC. Furthermore, BRD has been unable to use any CNJ skills since B4, so I don't know why you'd still lean towards that. . .
