So I'm +16 in DEX right now at level 36. Pure dex. I'm starting to wonder if I should continue and not even bother with piety (the MP stat)? So far I haven't really had too many issues with keeping the songs going during boss fights. Not to mention the songs give a 20% hit to dps.
How about the rest of the community? What stats have you invested in? Any issues with low piety at the higher levels?

What is the name of the quest that lets you become a bard? I leveled up my archer to 31 and just leveled up my pugilist to level 15. I have been doing level 31 archer main quests as of now. I tried talking to the Archer Guildmaster but there's no option to change to a Bard. Do you have to finish the level 15 pugilist main quest as well? Can someone help me?

I figured it out actually. If you're on any of the main quests after level 30, you will have to finish w/e you're on in order to get the bard quest.

New Bard here!
Been a fan of FF bards for a long time. Was really looking forward to this class, but have been mostly disappointed with it so far.

1). We should have a harp to equip along with the bow
2). This job has no synergy. Doesn't feel like you're playing a bard most of the time. Nothing wrong with having a bard class that uses archery...but as it is now it's 90% a ranger class and sometimes you get to feel like a bard for a few simple minutes then....nothing again. Granted I only have a few songs unlocked at the moment. But my buffing/debuffing abilities are near non existent. What's the point of creating a job that barely brings anything to the table? :/

BUT! I believe in SE and am remaining hopefully for the future! Hoping there will be some updates and love thrown to us Bards. And I still need to check out higher level play too of course. Soon!

Everyone still liking your bard? Man, I gotta say, our AOE rotation is sweet! Still no sign of a archer/bard mount tho, looks like Square really did just put it in for 1 class and stiff the rest of us :P

Future bard feeling like he's wasted hours leveling his CNJ for BRD only to find out it's been replaced by Pug.... So do I have to remake now or is getting a third class an option?
Any ideas on how to get back into form swiftly?
