Bards, Checking In!

Archer (30) + Pugilist (15) = Bard

Well this makes me incredibly happy. I started working on Conjurer during the Open Beta. As a precautionary measure I started leveling Pugilist while waiting on my SO to catch up with my Archer in levels.

How do i get to uldah on my level from gridania, now that its changed to pug instead of conj? :s

if you're not doing the main quest and getting the airship pass, you can pretty much follow the road south / southwest to get to uldah. Check your map though (zoom out to view regions) because I'm horrid at giving directions...

Well i think i did the story quests, dont seem to find any more except for "leia's legacy" wich is bugged atm because of dutyfinder not working again.

Well gonna look into it. Thkns already.

I like that bard is a DD, it is a departure from the classic role, but being a bard in FFXI could be very boring sometimes. I like this new trigonal pattern of jobs, [DD, Tank, Healing ] You can spread support abilities through all three of these types of classes/jobs so that you have your main role to focus on and can provide some support to the rest of your group as well. This way you don't end up with situations where your bard's job is to join a party, buff it up with support, switch to the next party to buff, then the next party, and then sit and wait outside of the main fight, this happened in FFXI. I hope they don't add pure support jobs/classes to FFXIV.
